All SS cars have the same cooling. There's no extra cooling package like LT cars.

This is the chevy description of that package on the 1LE:
Standard track cooling package with engine oil, differential and transmission coolers This sounds to me like the exact same setup shown in the Mishimoto videos for the SS cooling. A bunch of passive, fluid-based heat exchangers. Nothing electric. |

Dec 2015 build 2ss. I have the relay. Removed it this morning, drove to the gym and back, no issues. Not sure what its for. Gonna leave it out.

Thanks for the experimentation. I will look in my 2SS fuse box tonight to see if I have the relay and report back. I haven't been driving the car much as I currently have a giant dumpster partially blocking the garage for some home remodeling.

Plus, think of the weight savings not lugging that useless relay around! Here's this relay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-xdenso-102...5380105?_ul=AR If you pull the relay and measure resistance between the hole for pin 30 or 87 and ground you should get something other than an open circuit. If resistance is infinite (open circuit) there is nothing powered by the relay. It depends on which pin is line and which is load. If 30 is load then measuring voltage between 87 and ground should give 12-14 V. With the car running you should get voltage of 12-14 V between the holes for pins 85 and 86 Last edited by ctrlz; 02-20-2017 at 02:17 PM. |

I gained 40 rwhp, and lost 2grams of weight. Honestly, it was a test, and obviously is not needed.

One important thing I noticed-- that relay has polarity... EDIT: no it doesn't. See below Last edited by ctrlz; 02-20-2017 at 07:46 PM. |
