Dang wish I came across this before I purchased Diode Dyamics LED boards. My ap is no longer working on my iPhone Xs Max and is no longer available in the App Store. I am in the process of installing these now with new bluetooth controllers and drivers.

FYI, we can convert other controllers to be PnP with NightOwl systems.

We also have our own controller family now that can be PnP. It can run addressable LEDs, too.

That's probably the best way to go, stay away from app driven controls and use a physical controller instead. I have had my halos and controller for a bout 7 years now and still good as new. Remote is RF so you don't need line of sight to work and is good up to 50 meters. They do have an app if you choose to use as well but the remote is so much easier.

I am using this set exactly

Is this used with the WIFI that is included with the original NightOwl system? This is new to me since I purchased the car from someone else who already had this system installed.

They have no relation to the NightOwl system. The LTECH package includes a controller module and remote which operates everything. It can control any RGB or RGBW led system. I installed halos in my headlights and fog lights as well as grill lighting. Sjmautoprod has stated if you are looking to get rid of the NightOwl controller(brains) they can supply you with their own controller which would be plug and play with your system, meaning the wiring and LED's would stay in place and just the controller would be swapped out. I think NightOwl went out of business and alot of people have had problems with those systems so a controller swap would make the most sense. I still prefer a controller with a remote control, I don't want to control my lights with a phone app but that's just my preference.

Sjmautoprod is your ticket for a plug and play set-up to replace the Nightowl modules, if need be. Trust me on this one. I'll get you the info, if you email me. I sent you a pm.

Oznium sells these too without the plug if you know how to solder.

I don't know much about soldering but pretty sure I could learn. Just don't have much time on my hands for that right now as I work for USPS. Want to get the car fixed up and get it out on the road again. I want to be able to use my new Diode Dynamics kit with the new RGBW LED boards I purchased. If I need a new module to get it to work then I am willing to do that as long as it's plug and play. I am just surprised Diode Dynamics did not mention that I would need the module. Only suggested I needed the LED Boards, Drivers and bluetooth controller.

That is all you need, except for the fogs/DRL that may be connected.

So the module is not needed? Did you get my email yesterday with the additional pics?
