Stuff in the trunk

Hello all,

The picture below is of some items that were in the trunk of my 2016 SS. I have not looked any of this up in the manual yet but what are these items and what is the purpose? Is this for track events only? Thanks!

Those parts on the right were in your trunk? I had the parts on the left in the plastic bags, those are for track use. Not sure of the pieces on the right are...

Yeah, parts on the left install behind your front rotors (details in your manual) for when you hit the track.

Parts on the right are for your rear suspension. They literally just snap on as seen int eh image above.

Have your dealer install the 2 big pieces and hold on to the other pieces for if you ever hit the track.

I actually saw them being put on in a picture in another thread. Wasn't sure they were the same thing. My dealer obviously knew what they were...

Why exactly would they be only for the track? I assume they are like shields for those suspension arms or links?
