Transmissiom m6 rattle

Do your transmissions emit a constant very faint rattling sound. It dissappears when I press the clutch in and comes back when I let the clutch out. I remember my 2014 SS had the same thing. It is also there when the car is moving.

Does the 6th gen have a single mass or dual mass flywheel? In the C4 Vette if you switched out the dual mass flywheel with s single mass unit it would rattle in neutral with the clutch out like crazy. Sounded like you had a bunch of ball bearings loose in the tranny but it was perfectly normal. I've heard a few others say they've heard a rattle under the same conditions that you describe.

The reason I haven't went to the dealer yet is because I believe it's a single mass. If that's the case I am not worried.

Get used to it. The rattles have been a a constant characteristic of the Tremec manual transmissions for many years. My C4 vette, C5 Z06 vette, Gen 5 SS 1LE, all sounded the same. Bunch of marbles at idle, push in the clutch and it quiets up. Sounds like the tradition continues in the Tremec 6060 with rev match.
