Just moved to Dallas area.

Hey guys. My wife and just moved here about a month ago.
She got transferred out her from calif. My car got transported and in the process got some damage. My instance company is going after the transport company cuz they are giving me the run around. So I need to find a great place to take my car to get repaired. I live in Prosper area. I'm thinking maybe a Chevy dealership but idk. So please let me know if their is a place that you all feel comfortable taking your car and hope they are good at what they do. Thanks for all the info.

What kind of repair is it your looking for?

For performance stuff we have a handful in the area. For me ADM Performance in Lewisville is about the only person besides me that would wrench on my car. However there are others like 21st Century and SpeedTek. I've done a little with Mike @ Whiteside Customs and he is pretty decent as well.

As far as dealers go...luckily I haven't had the need for a dealer just yet but if I needed one I would lean towards Van Chevrolet in Carrollton. Mostly because they have a performance division so they are supposed to be a mod friendly dealer.

The only guy that I let paint my good cars is www.AdvantageAutoworks.com but there are plenty of people that have their own preferred paint shops.

Stonebriar chevy has been listed as a stealership right here on C5. While I have vouched for them in the past, and even had them do work for me I would steer clear.

Kays paint and body in denton. Local, been around for over 50 years, best prices, and AMAZING work.

Support local business!

If you are still looking, go to Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine. Ask for Ozzy the body shop manager. He will make sure everything is done right.

Just another option...

I've had work done on my current vehicle from 2 wrecks (body damage only, no major undercarriage work) at: http://www.thebodyshoptx.com/

Have only used the Garland location but the work was flawless and the service excellent. Worked directly with insurance and will take you down the street to Enterprise if you need a rental. They take pictures of your car during the process and you can track it on the web, which I thought was nice
