Shop Manuals
Wow where has time gone since I've last visited or posted. Been dealing with health issues that i am close to fully coming out of. During that down time I have considered enhancing the car or making it a full blown track car. That would mean getting rid of my FR500 which I love but who knows deeper thoughts, visions versus real life isn't the same. Still undecided but at the very least there are things I want to do!
Looking to work on rear suspension first and wondering if shop manuals are the best way to go with step by step instructions when you're about to do something new like removing a part here or a part there or a chain of parts to get to what you really want to change out. Any suggestions on either buying shop manuals, work instructions or visual aids? I/m mechanical but far from a professional! Thank You, |

If you're 'ol school like me you want to at least have some form of manual reference on hand. I use the Chilton and while sometimes it can be a bit vague and not very detailed it still has a purpose. So with the Chilton, YouTube and the good folks here on Camaro5 the info you need to tackle just about any project is readily available.

Glad to hear you are on the mend! Look into Alldata dyi. I have a yearly subscription for just my car (vin specific) I think I pay $64.99/year. The wiring diagrams also have notes for v6 & lsa engines. They also have interactive color diagrams where you can click a wire & it lights up the whole path.
