First 250 miles I drove her home on the day I bougt her I got 26 mpg doing the 8-9-10-9-8 thing with the paddles averaging about 70mph on the highway.
Since then, 16 mpg in spirited city driving. Plenty of road feel in Sport. Plenty more in Track. |

I average 17-19mpg, easily mid 20's or higher on long trips.

Given you appear to have an FE2 suspension on not-very-aggressive tires, things will be even less communicative. Trying something like the "Lowering and Handling suspension kit" (p/n 84188725), or go up a full level with the SS 1LE suspension handling package (part number 84233245), which swaps out sway-bars, control arms, and springs, along with some more aggressive summer tires will make a dramatic improvement when coupled with a performance oriented alignment. The alignment will tie it all together, don't be afraid to start off with the SS 1LE "track" alignment, which IMO is more of a fast street alignment, given that it's not aggressive enough for actual track work. If you're trying to get maximum value for the dollar, my first advice would be to get an excellent summer tire like the RE71R and a good fast-street alignment. From there swapping out the soft FE2 springs, sway-bars, dampers, and bushings with FE4 level parts will reduce numbness without being overly harsh with NVH. To get some perspective to see if that's where you want to head, test-drive or drive a Camaro club members' SS, SS 1LE, or ZL1 to get a feel for the different suspensions. Hope that helps, Ryan
