My Chevy Vehicle Status

My 3 month free plan from buying my ZL1 expired and I noticed I no longer get vehicle status on my android app. Going on the website will give me a little more data but it is from November. I still have the basic plan for 5 years. Does this not include the vehicle status? That is pretty much the only thing I liked looking at. Looking at the plans, none of them actually say vehicle status as part of the plan and the cheapest seems to be $14.99 which is way to much to see how much gas I have and tire pressures.

Is this my only option?

My car is up for the winter so I didn't know if the website would of had updated info just not the app.

Are you talking about the diagnostic emails or just mychevy app?

Car needs to be started for the diagnostic email to be sent and with the mychevy app, after a period of time of the car not running( such as your case with your car being stored for the winter), I believe the car goes into a sleep mode where it won't respond to the apps inquiry of the status to preserve the battery. The car will need to be started to get it to respond to the app again.

You won't get that function on your OnStar phone app with the basic plan, as well as some other functions. Only via email once/month. I can lock/unlock doors but I think that's about it.

Without a premium plan, the only access you have from the MyChevrolet app would be the basic FOB functions (locks, horns and remote start if equipped). All other diagnostic information and updates for fuel levels and tire pressure require a paid plan.

And they want $14.99 a month to give me that information? Ugh, oh well, I liked it while I had it.

Check onstars website certain car insurance companies give you a discount if you have onstar I got State Farm and get $204.00 a year discount on my insurance. That's like getting it for free. If onstar doesn't get the money the insurance company does so you may as well get something for it.
