2016 1 LT amp turn on signal?
I have a 2016 LT convertible. Had a 4 channel Audio Source amp installed. Nice install but they wired it so it is only on with the engine. When I quizzed installers they stated they would need an adapter for $100+ to have it on in accessory position. I have been looking at the rear fuse box but I do not have wireless charging so there is no fuse and unfortunately no wires to that fuse position. I see below some one pulled power from F55 in the trunk on a 2017 hard top. Any other ideas for a 2016 convertible?

Any one?
Any one have any ideas? I am hooked to F55 for the radio controls and still showing 12 volts 15 minutes after shutting down. Do I need a PAC TR4, I have heard conflicting reports on how well they work...

I installed the PAC TR4 a couple months back... and “so far” it’s been flawless. I’m actually thinking about upgrading the amp to include signal sensing.....

Well I installed the PAC TR4 and it works almost.... Does what is advertised, it senses the signal from the head unit and waits a couple seconds and enables the amplifier with no pop. But at about 2/3 volume 45 to 47 it shuts down. I lose the turn on signal. I can see it pulse every couple seconds on the DVM. Turn it back down wait 3-4 seconds and the enable circuit is good again. I'll call the PAC people and see what there thoughts are...

PAC people not much help. They said with the Camaro you absolutely need a TR4, you just need the right wire under the dash. Well If I have to go that far to use a TR4 I'd just go to the fuse box under the dash for a switched signal. After much research I found a product from Sonic electronics, looks the same as a TR4 but it works... Just 4 Wires to connect, one to left front input to my JL audio amp in the trunk, Constant 12V from battery, ground and the amp turn on signal. Couldn't be any easier. Comes on after 2 or 3 seconds. Stays on for about a minute after the Stereo powers down. Try this and report back your results for others in the same predicament. https://www.sonicelectronix.com/item...19059811762495

Use the cigarette lighter as a turn-on signal. Works perfect for my setup.
