First post,new car
Hey all, I have been lurking and researching a lot here the last few weeks. A lot of good info everywhere on this site.
Anyway, the wife was ready to buy her before 50 car. She is a simple easy to please gal, so her only demand was a V8 and a 6sp. So in my infitine, all knowing, gear head mind I figured the only option for her (ok,maybe me) was the ZLE. I rationalized it a bit with the super rare, last of its kind type, and she was on board. I prepared her for a harsh ride, but was thrilled when she came back from the drive and said it wasn’t bad. Great news! (For me). Long story short, we go back to bring it home. I’ve got a car cover and a bunch of car wash stuff on the way. It will be inside the shop, but wanted some extra protection. Thanks for the all the info here. We really have no intention of doing what this thing was meant for, but she thought all the aero and the big, silly, ricer wing is cool. |

Same here. Have a ZLE on the way and no plans for the track stuff. But ecstatic for a manual again with the most HP. Glad to hear the ride wasn't too rough!

Absolutely beautiful car, congratulations. I would've gone with the standard ZL1 if the car won't be tracked (and maybe added the 1LE aero later, if at all), but that's just me, and you live with your wife, not me

Congrats and welcome! That’s a beautiful ZLE so be careful with those car covers. Most detailers have told me that covers do more damage than good because they turn into sandpaper against that soft paint.
