Beware of "Diode Dynamics"

hi guys,

First point, sorry for my bad english, it is not my first language.

i'm here to share my bad experience with Diode Dynamics,

I also own a 2016 Mustang GT, and i bought from they're website the "Tri bars switchback kit".

At the beginning They claimed it would take "4 to 6 weeks to have them shipped" absolutely crazy, but ok, no problem i paid for them and started waiting.

After 5 / 6 weeks of waiting i just sent them an e-mail to know if there were any updates on the delivery, they told me that the leading time was "6 to 8 weeks", then after a while i mailed them again for some updates, well, in 7 days, i sent them 7 e-mail and zero reply was given.
They basically took my money and bye bye.

Hope this will help some of you, as Diode Dynamics sells camaro products as well.

Have a great day and take care.

Alessio

Simply have your credit card company reverse the charge.

What we don't know is when the order was placed, so has this been an unreasonable amount of time considering the buyer is in Italy? Simply don't know.

How long after the initial response from vendor stating 6-8 weeks did the daily e-mail thing start?

website says 6-8 weeks, these are probably drop shipped from manufacturer.

Shipping overseas can be an interesting deal. I've waited 3 months for parts that were expected to be in my hands in 3-4 weeks. Incoming shipments from different parts of the world can be painstaking process. I've ordered plenty of products through Diode Dynamics and never had an issue with getting the product. But I live in the states so?? And I think they have a sales rep on this site so maybe he will contact you?

Never an issue with them here, but never ordered internationally either.

Keep trying.

Their halo kit was a nightmare, but they handled everything accordingly.

Sorry to read that OP. I've bought a few things with DD and had a few issues with them but they were resolved in a timely and friendly manner. (Like above, I haven't ordered internationally either)

Good luck.

No problems either. Warranty work and all.

My shipping was fast on all orders every time. So quick for me I didn't even know what it was.
The wait would be longer going to Italy.

I disagree. I ordered parts from all over the world and at most it took 7 weeks. Usually anything I ordered that stated 3-8 weeks seemed to always arrive early. And I don't agree that the customer who sent an email with any inquiries no matter what it's about needs to pick up the phone. In today's world going into 2017 email is the best way of communicating and it leaves fact for document purposes. If he sent only one email then he should have received a response within 1-2 business days. It's called good customer service and it is the most important thing for any company to provide.
