I feel dumb asking this...

When I got my car (used) the wheels were missing 2 valve stem caps. The dealer gave me 2 caps off another car but since they aren't TPMS caps they are obviously shorter.

I keep finding caps that I like online but they all appear short, and would have part of the cap showing.

My dumb question is... am I missing something? Are there no companies that make nice (SS Emblem perhaps?) TPMS length caps?

I wasn't' aware that TPMS needed longer caps. are you sure about that? the length of the stem doesn't have anything to do with it. the stem is attached to the sensor. it's not like the sensor is in the stem.

Maybe I'm crazy? I have seen other people on here mention it as well (the shorter caps) I can take a picture and show you what I'm referring to...

Some caps are green to let you know nitrogen was used for inflation. TPMS caps should not be different.
SS logo caps will just get stolen.

I am pretty sure there is no such thing as a TPMS cap. jd10013 pretty much summed it up. The valve stem is part of the sensor assembly but it only serves to mount the sensor.

they are stock i just put the new caps on, the only problem iv'e had is they came with a little rubber gasket in the cap and sometimes it sticks to the stem when you take them off and it won't allow you to put air in the tire but know I know to look for it and just use a small screwdriver to pop the rubber gasket out of the stem, I assume the rubber gasket is to keep the two metals from touching thus not allowing them to stick or corrode together
