The good and the bad of the boxster is that when you hit the go pedal, it doesn't complain. It just goes holding the gear all the way to redline till you paddle up. It's a fun experience, but sometimes it's nice for a car to get a little sideways to get the heart pumping. As one of the previous posters mentioned, newer boxsters are the scalpel, surgically precise. In a fight, they get the job done but are less satisfying than a big American V8, the machine gun.
