Love the look of my car but keeping it clean is tough no doubt. I think id do it again though because no matter how dirty it gets theres something about a black camaro that just makes sense in my head. hard to explain bit I find Self spray washes are pointless it's gotta be by hand dried. Most of the time I wax as well but if it's gonna be on and off rain for the week I dont bother washing it at all because the rained on look is honestly better than a quick wash

My 98 was black and the 2010 was black but getting older and dont care to spend hours on a car anymore so the 2012 is red and much easier to keep clean and doesnt show it as bad.The black is gorgeous though, no denying that. One note I liked the onyx black of the 98 better then the grey black of the 5th gen, onyx had more of a bluish tint to it.

Black just looks so sophisticated, yet sinister at the same time. The only other Camaro color I would even consider is Crystal Red. That color is absolutely beautiful on the Camaros and Corvettes, especially in the sunshine. If I were buying a new '13 or '14, I would be torn between black and Crystal Red.

Wouldn't get a black anything again. I have a life, and won't spend it cleaning a car 24/7. Been there, done that.

They are all gorgeous.
Everyone that posted before and after me. You know I was just kidding. I've said it before, all Camaros are gorgeous. For you guys that dont' want to go crazy keeping them like that. You are right it's a real pain. But wow.
And You ------UF4LIFE102SS. You're Camaro is sick, In the right light mine shines better as well, but how you get that shine, what is your secret. That is a sick looking awesomely modified look. Great. All in fun One thing though to you guys that think its hard to take care of. It is alot easier with the new polymer coating and the liquid spray waxes. I had a polymer coating put on mine at the Chevy dealer and Now I use turtle wax liquid wax and detailer. Combined with my Califoria duster it stays clean easier and alot less trouble. The hard polymer coating combined with the liquid wax makes it easier to keep clean because you can then use the california duster(only for light dust) without scratching the paint. Shake it out often, then quick detail behind it or use the liquid wax. If I didn't get the black I would have gotten the white. Tbis you are also right, the GFX(ZL1) side panels would be awesome. And SS panther, love the vert. Awesome. |
