55-60 MPH on curvy 2 lane roads, what Gear would you use?
I tend to drive a lot on 2 lane state roads that have a lot of curves and turns.
I am curious as to if I would be better off cruising at a higher RPM in 5th gear typically or if I would be better off lugging it at a lower RPM in 6th gear. I would like to hear opinions and feedback about real effects on fuel mileage and any extra stress on the drive train. Personally I prefer 5th gear. What do you all think?

5th. 6th only if you are staying above 65.

Never lug the engine if possible, use a lower gear if you feel it lugging.

I personally don't go into 6th unless it is highway driving above 70. Anything under 1500 RPM and this car is way too sluggish.

If my speed was rather steady I would use 5th, if it was going up and down a little I would use 4th. I never use 6th, unless on the highway doing 70 or better.

change out your gears to 3.08's and save gas and less stress on the drive train, and stay in 5th up to 65 and still be fun!!

With stock gears and cruising straight roads or curvy - I don't use 6th until over 60-65 MPH |

I would 5th gear if cruising. Just because you are turning more rpms doesn't necessarily mean you are using more fuel. There is less load on the engine in 5th gear going 60 than in 6th gear.
