Navigation Map Update

Hello,

I just purchased the nav system map update for my 2014 camaro which will be coming in a few days. After purchasing it i looked around at all the map settings on the mylink and can’t find an update option. Would you update it using the system update option? Any help on how to actually apply the update will be appreciated. I looked around here but can’t find instructions. Thank you.

I believe that the update will be on a usb drive with instructions in the packet. should be pretty simple

You are right. It came with instruction. I’ll post the instructions here when i get a chance so others can have them if they are curious. It’s easy. You do it from the radio update setting. There is no specific nav update setting like i was expecting.

Question Navigation update

So after recently purchasing a 2015 Camaro 1SS convertible with navigation I got to thinking... how do you update the Navigation Maps?? After some research I was disappointed to find a link to go to for PURCHASE of the upgrade. { https://gmnavdisc.navigation.com/home/en_US/GMNA/USD } but much to my chagrin the update {V.2018} was out of stock (cost $159). My questions are these: 1) Does GM do these updates frequently (i.e. yearly, every decade, or more) if so should I await a V.2019 upgrade? 2) How do I find out what version is loaded in my car? 3) According to the web page this upgrade is specific to the car, is this true or can any 2015 Camaro update their navigation with the same thumb drive?

Thanks in advance for your help in these matters.

Update disk

You wouldn't happen to still have this update disk lying around? I'd pay someone for it. They no longer make updates for 2015 and earlier. It won't be completely up to date
but it would be 4 years more up to date than I have now.

Won't work. Hard coded to your VIN.

That is what I figured, Crazy how this stuff just gets forgotten, People pay good money and then a few years later can't get anything. Be nice if an aftermarket company had support for this stuff.
