2018 Camaro build timeline

Hey everyone! Brand new to the forums. I ordered a 2018 2SS on Jan 18th and was toldon Friday I am at event code 3400... Broadcast production will ship in 7-10 days. I was told it would be about 8-12 weeks for the camaro to be built and delivered. Am I moving a long quicker than expected or is there still a lot more to be done?

Mine was August but it was pretty quick. 2018 2SS.

Order sent 8/29 status 2000
TPW 9/18
Built 9/19
Shipped 9/23
Went to the wrong dealer
Arrived 9/27
Picked up 9/28

Total time, even with the shipping snafu, 4 and a half weeks (a month). But mine shipped to Detroit which usually means quicker ship time...usually.

If it's going to NY, I believe it will hop a train first. Shipping is always the wildcard from what I've read here.

Lansing MI
mine has been built since 1/25 and sitting in a lot in Lansing since outdoors in multiple snow storms not happy at all

^you ordered a car in the winter. It's obviously going to sit in a lot a few times along the way and get snowed on as it's not the only camaro being built and shipped. It's not like it's being driven in salt so who cares...

For what it's worth, my bro ordered his atsv last year beginning of February and it arrived beginning of March, and we're in Ottawa. Built in the same plant. I'm trying to get an order ID for my 18 1LE but as far as I know the order has been accepted by GM and I ordered in the second half of this January.

I'm just curious to see how long it is from build and parked in the lot to shipped.

I've got another month before I'd put it on the road anyways

yeah I did its called if you find a dealer with an allocation that is going to give you a smoking deal you order. If I passed they might not have gotten another right away. As it was they told me I would not see it till april or may which would have been perfect. The car originally had a tpw of 2/19/18 (we aren't even there yet) then it was moved up to 1/29/18 and it was built 1/25/18. Usually when I order a car especially a limited car like the zl1 1le I wait months and months so when he told me april or may I was like that would be nice but never going to happen. Gm's allocation system sucks. Now My car is built and they can't get it here. I don't care if it was built in the summer I still don't want it sitting outside for 3 weeks.

I'm thinking I'll wait another week before asking in the tracking thread for my TPW and shipping status since I am at 3400.

Ordered 1LS convertible Nov 18th. Mississauga, Ontario.
Was told being built Feb 12th.
Updated build date to March 5th.
Taking a loooooonnnnggggg time.

Mine was built in two weeks from day of ordering. It was pulled for QC and is now sitting there. Don't know when I will be getting it.
