Called the dealer this afternoon and was told the car was not delivered yet, which, in a twist of fate, actually made me happy, as we had been hit with a pretty bad nor'easter.

20 inches of wet, soggy snow, large branches and even trees snapping left and right, people going without power for 5-6 days and sustaining bad property damage. No loss of life in the neighborhood, at least not that I heard of, thank God. Also bless the conscientious soul who decided to bury power lines in the area a couple decades ago, many streets just a few blocks from us have overhead power lines and serious problems after every storm.

In light of this, my perspective got some correction, and I kind of stopped worrying about petty stuff like a bit of potential undercarriage corrosion on my new Camaro. Like SonicSS, I'm sure it'll all work out in the end.

Bump, has anyone taken delivery yet? The dealer has just emailed me to expect her (the car, heh) this weekend or early next week

Dealer just emailed that they received my car earlier today and will be installing LPO items now. I'll hopefully pick her up on Monday. Yay

I know waiting for shipping is the hardest part, but I guess staying at 4B00 a bit longer is still better than getting sprayed with salt all over in an open trailer

Picked her up a few hours ago. Sweet garnet red 2SS with the GM performance intake and the illuminated black bowtie. 6 miles on the odometer. (Well, not anymore

). Exterior looks good, no bad panel gaps, no paint glitches, stuff in the car just generally seems to work. Photos made at the dealership, they're pretty bad, but who cares

What an amazing car. I didn't want to push hard in the cold with the summer tires and before finding a proper place to do the break-in, but I can tell it starts pulling hard already at 2500 rpm, just the way I wanted.

Funny little story: back home in the garage and thinking it was time to install the mods, I started with the innocent looking key fob cover (https://smile.amazon.com/Metallic-Ke...ct_top?ie=UTF8).

Well, all looked good with the cover on the key, the door opened fine. Until, that is, I sat down in the driver seat, and then the horn starts up, short beeps for a few seconds, followed by long ones, the DIC shows "attempted theft" and the car goes all Christmas tree on me... A minute later I got an OnStar notification on the "theft"... obviously this key cover is a POS and doesn't allow the signal through properly. All worked fine again after removing the cover, of course. Live and learn

silicon key covers. Never given me a problem, plus in my opinion absorb drops a bit better than a hard case.

Good looking car though!

Mine too. Very frustrating. I don't want to lose the $2,500 rebate but not crazy about completing the deal without seeing it either...

I completed mine back in February to get extra $2,000 off with my gm card.

I got paperwork in the mail today saying the siriusxm has been on for a month already.
