Advice on dealer GFX installation
So I've had my 2012 Camaro a few weeks and I've notice that the GFX around the back of the car doesn't seem aligned quite right. It seems like when they did the installation it was shifted towards the passenger side. This causes the end on the drivers side to protrude a bit and some gaps to appear between the GFX and the body. I also noticed that if I push on the areas where there are gaps it appears to stick to the body (I assume some adhesive was used) but then it separates again.
I have been contemplating contacting the dealer and seeing if they'll fix it but wanted to get the communities take to see if this is normal or if I'm just being too picky. I guess I just expect a little bit more fit and finish for my 40K.

I'd see if they could do something about it.

Thanks for the replies! I'll be calling the dealer tomorrow. I still have that wonderful survey to fill out too. Guess we'll see how "completely satisfied" I am...

Definitely have them re-install that. I have the factory GFX and yours should not look like that.

If this happened to me I would take it back and make them fix it. We spend way too much money on upgrades for our cars for something like this to happen.

Take it back. I had my GFX installed ....then removed for painting and reinstalled......in both cases the install was flawless.

My GFX were starting to do the same thing. My dealer ordered new GFX and put them on under warranty.
If your dealer is worth their weight in salt, they should do it with no problem. |
