If I had decided to go catback I'd have gone ARK also, but for the money, the MRT is a great buy and makes a HUGE difference from stock.

Dough Thorley Catback (most underrated and least expensive catback exhaust) + headers (long or short). If you search my threads I posted a video clip of the sound however the quality is not the best.

How much of that is from his other mods though? I wonder what just the ARK sounds like without the mods he has

I have the SLP Loudmouth 2 and it is very loud!! Loud at idle and sounds amazing. The MRT 1.0 does sound really good.

I had a SOLO Mach X before which for me just got to be a little much. I think a lot of 16-25 somethings would dig it though. Don't get me wrong, it was hardcore insane and at idle it had a very nice V8 like rumble and on throttle lift off coming off WOT, it sounded like a freakin NASCAR.

It was pretty thrashy in the upper revs. I've made a lot of vids of both SOLO and ARK. I get on the throttle in my videos. I noticed ppl try to keep their revs down in their vids. The upper revs will expose rasp. I haven't heard ARK DT-S through stock headers and cats but it plays very well with LT's. The SOLO's with LT's sound very good at idle and low revs as well as part throttle over 3800RPM-absolutely divine. The ARKS are smooth all the way through the rev band and sound more exotic to me which I really like.

Sixjack...I got the Solo cause your vids. I don't have plans for LT or HFC, so that's why I went with Solo. I completely agree that if you have those plans Ark is an awesome choice.

I love the sound of the Solo. Btw...I'm 38.

My MRT v2 is pretty loud (I have an intake too), I think I would find the v1 too loud.

Yeah from the vids I've listened to, the SOLO sounds great all by itself or even with some shorty's or with SOLO's HFC's. The rasp they produce with the LT's I'd even characterize as purposeful. Glad you like them and they're working out great for you.

I think you want your car to sound like a V8 and it isn't going to happen. If the sound of the V8 is that important to you then go buy a V8 and loose about 10k of your money on the trade in. You will loose that much money on a trade, I don't care what the others say that have done a trade-in.
