Expect a credit check, drivers license and ability to purchase the car before you and the salesperson go for a ride.
I've been lucky...the most they have asked me for is my license and telephone number...I usually test drive a performance car at least once a month. A few months ago I went into a random Chevy dealer to test drive a '10 SS LS3; the guy made a copy of my license and handed me the keys and I didn't come back for over an hour!

I've had times when dealers let me run a car on a weekend or for a couple of days. For me it worked the other way around. I never bought a car that I test drove for more than 15 or 20 minutes.

Dodge and VW had that some time ago , but the people who did the long test drive did not buy the car , dont ask me way

Went to SLP in NJ and test drove the ZL560 auto - drove it for about 30 min. Knew I had to have one! The car was a dream come true. My ZL600 vert should be here in 3 weeks!!!!

Heck, If they would just put high octane gas in them and make sure sales personel know the cars better they would sell more. But then again, they are selling quite a few.

Actually I think if the salesperson took the time to help the customer adjust the mirrors correctly and helped adjust the driver side seat it would allow for a better overall experience.

A couple friends test drove Camaros at different times and both said that they love the look and way it drives but there was no way they were buying it since they couldn't see anything around them. Also complaining that they sit too low in the ****pit.

All three of my friends question how I'm able to drive my Camaro daily. Same way they want to know how I can change lanes without hitting anyone as they couldn't see out of the windows.

Honestly it is proper seat positioning and properly adjusted mirrors. Took me a couple of days of fine tuning to get them at the final correct position they currently reside in but now I can see 360 degrees around my vehicle even without a backup camera.

Unlike most cars, the Camaro has a surprisingly well designed ****pit and mirrors in my eyes. The problem lies in getting them to all work together. Without that harmony you are a danger to everyone and yourself on the road. Once achieved though, you are the predator on the road that the Chevy site teases about.

Agree with you on the mirrors and seat

+1 !!
In addition, I always make sure to insist on taking it out on the highway to check for proper alignment and tire balancing at 70 MPH +/-
