what is a powerful battery i can get for my car - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

hey guys i have a issue with my car with the battery i think it is dead and i want to get a powerful battery better than the stock one....anyone have any ideas or reccomend anything thanks

Check out an Odyssey from battery mart. I run them in everything I own,cars,trucks,quads and motorcycles. Initially pricey but Optima not in the same league IMHO.

A battery is a battery. I usually just go with an 84-month generic (Farm and Fleet around me) brand when I need to replace batteries. Most of them have a higher CCA rating and generally last as long or longer than the OEMs.

this is my second battery in my car and it only has 11,000miles first battery went dead.......then i went and got a braile battery 20lb i do not drive my car every day and i have it on a tender soo yesterday i went for a drive about 15mins some highway driving and i parked my car and an hr later i started it up and it barley kicked over......this week i am driving my car to my new job 3miles away and it will sit from 8am to 245pm and i dont think it will kick over any thoughts??

In my last car with a sound system in it I had issues with the stock battery in it. Switched to an Optima Redtop and it worked great for me. I'd recommend also keeping a portable jumper that can be charged and bring that with you just in case, or carry some jumper cables in your car.

i have aac halos and scanners on my car...all connected to my battery but i have everything on switches..... i also have a aftermarket head unit maybe that is messing with something?

If you're looking at optima, I would strongly recommend the yellow top over the red. I've seen a lot more failures with the red's and if you look over the specs, the yellow is just better.

Also, if you do have something draining your battery down, you won't damage the deep cycle like you immediately would with a regular battery.
