Why????

I was at a car show tonight in my hometown...There were lots of fantastic classic cars and even another 5th Gen. However, I noticed it was a 5th Gen I had seen before. Last year, I went to compliment the owner on his nice car and talk about out rides...When I notice SS emblems on it..Problem is, It's 1 LT with no RS package. It has SS all over it...I am so confused by this behavior.
I get down to the show early tonight and I see my old friend pulling up...SS emblems gone (great right?) Except now this White 1LT with Orange stripes now has 45th Anniversary Emblems on the fenders...Oh, and it's a 2010...So unless they secretly started making Camaro's in 1965...Can anyone explain this behavior to me??? I am lost....I do not advertise my car as anything other than what it is...Please chime in, but lets keep this discussion civil, I am really looking for answers here...

There will always be "that guy" in every make of vehicle. Maybe it's just the area?

To eliminate your confusion, you should have asked "why" to the guy who owned the car, instead of asking everybody here.

And also possibly because they are desperate to feel "adequate". They seek to receive attention from wherever they can get it.

Its the same way with guys in Mustang's that have V6's, they put Cobra emblems all over them, makes no sense and the average person who isnt car savvy doesnt know the difference.

Wow, i don't get it either. I just want my car for what it is would never try to make it something it's not. Besides too many real Camaro fans know the difference and would or should call you out on it. Don't you think?

I did....last year, he looked confused when I asked him about the SS emblems...I think he was in shock that I knew he was upbadging...I didn't bother this year...I'm looking for the elusive 1965 Camaro as we speak...LOL

I have seen the same thing here....a 2010 V6 Mustang with the pony in the grill blacked out with plasti-dip and Cobra badges all over it. I even pointed it out to a buddy that has a '03 Cobra and he just laughed at it.
