Question was this an ok spot for jack stands?

im curious to know if i used an ok spot to rest the car on jack stands. the metal seemed kind of thin but the car seemed to hold up ok. i outlined the area i rested the car on in red.

I use the cradle mount just to the right of your circle.

I use the front Cradle bolt for the FLoorjack lifting spot, and the rear for the stand after it's up in the air. That way you get the most room under the car.

Here's how I lift my car.

http://camaromodz.com/jacking.htm

For the rear, I placed the jack stands when the manual indicates the lift points.

So Pete, when I made this illustration I thought it was the best place.

Would damage occur using them?

No not at all. Lifting the rear on the sub-frame bolts or diff are all good points. If you are doing sub-frame work the jack and stands must be set just forward of the bolts. When you do this the load has to be spread with something larger to distribute the load.

Up front the six bolt areas of the sub-frame are all good jack points. Many use a hockey puck in the jack to protect the undercarriage.
