Track Pack V6??
There has been a lot of discussion around the Gen6 turbo4 and the LT1, but I think a lightweight v6 has a lot of potential.
Put the SS suspension, brakes, and lower the rear axle ratio by putting in the turbo4's and voila: great track car/back road car/everyday car. This would be similar to the Mustang V6 track pack which got good reviews. What do you guys think?

Sounds good to me.

I was a big supporter of this, been talking about a V6 performance option for months....something to match the Mustang PP option.
I am still a fan of the idea. That said I feel like the V6 as it is, is going to outperform the Ecoboost PP anyways, and if it is that good, is it needed? GM may not think so, but I still like it. It would make for a very fun car indeed! It would whip up on the current Ecoboost in every measure. The good news, is that if GM does not offer it, at least V6 owners will hopefully have an easy upgrade to lower rear gears from GM that are being used in the I4.

Agreed. With the V6 being slotted to compete against the Ecoboost, some kind of handling pack is needed. Ford axed their V6 track pack with the new gen to push the Ecoboost.

If this was an option I would have gotten it with my current Gen 5 V6. Great motor. Handling is a little on the soft side.

They should at least offer gear options. You can get 3.55 rear gears on either the V6 or I4 Mustang.

Yeah I really think the lower ratio would make a big difference in how the car feels on the road. With the new V6 chassis a big 300 lbs lighter, the overall affect could get the 0-60 down to the low 5 sec range. The handling/braking advantage of the lighter weight fits well with the new 'athletic' approach to styling.

There is an option for bigger brakes and larger wheels on the non RS LT's, could be part of some kind of track pack.

Yes, who would not want better handling in any car -- you drive it everyday, you want it to be as fun as possible. If you go to the track, then you want it that much more! I have done a lot of handling upgrades to my 4th Gen RS -- no regrets, just more fun for a daily driver!
