Anyone considering going from a 6 or 8 to a 4?

If so...why?

For me, I could never buy anything but a V8 Camaro. But no judgement. Factory turbo seems to be a pretty popular thing now so I'm betting that a lot of younger drivers will opt for the Turbo 4 over the NA 6

I did consider the 4cycl but only if I traded my v6.

Can't imagine going from a ZL1 to a 4, turbo or not.

For me I have 3 options: Trade the 1LE for a 6th gen 1LE or Z/28. Keep my 1LE and buy a 1LT/RS V6 manual for a daily driver, or just keep what I have. The waiting game worked out well for me this last generation so it should pay off this time. The only thing I'm worried about is missing out on Hyper Blue. We are going steady and there is heavy petting involved.

I have a turbo 4 now, and would not hesitate to get another one. I really want to go V8 this time, though,

Not that I will ever use the engine to its full potential, but I always rent V8s when I need a rental car, and the sound is nothing short of beautiful music to my ears. The sound of a V8 makes driving more enjoyable to me.

Because I'm a cheap-ass, and at the end of the model year there should be a ton of 4 cylinder cars left because of overproduction.

V8 5th gen now, but Turbo4 'vert to keep the cost down, get into a 6th gen, and get the open air feel (since I didn't get a 6th gen targa)..... while keeping my 5th.....hmmm.....

It will be interesting to see how much power aftermarket squeezes out of that four. I hope it's strong
