The Borla X pipe does change the sound vs the "stamped" factory X pipe which really isnt even a true X pipe.

I ran stock NPP with secondary delete for a while. It is probably the best sound for NP imo. Quiet in stealth (very quiet), and just loud enough to be tasteful in track. Pull the fuse and you get a nice mix of accel and decel.

I wouldn't say the X pipe makes it louder. It smooths out the flow and it just sounds better. If you search on google about true X pipes vs crossover (stamped) x pipes you will see they are not the same at all. Borla uses a true X pipe.

Just fyi. I lost a noticeable amount of low-end torque when i deleted my rear cats... Something to be aware of if you plan on doing it

A tune would fix that, but if you aren't doing anything else to your car I could see why you wouldn't want to void your warranty.

Borla x-pipe (60606) connected to the stock NPP muffler does change the sound to a more refined note, which makes the car sound way better than the stock x-pipe. I did the 2nd cat delete, so it's also a bit louder and didn't lose any torque. It feels like I gained torque with smoother acceleration.
