I would be embarrassed to post on this thread. You guys are some hard-working dudes. Almost got the 2SS, but wife didn't like visibility. Got an ATS-V coupe instead and love it. Took 6 weeks to build. Maybe a ZL-1 in my future!

Get what I'm saying! These threads always seem to bring out the 99% of people of a board that live the life of luxury with not a money worry in the world! Fact is it's the people that don't post that are the ones that are living that life (most of the time). |

Meh. No wife, no kids and no real expenses. Last car was 10 years ago, paid cash for it too.
Luck has a LOT to do with this, and I ain't that lucky. Or rich. |

I make payments on my cars. I always will. I personally don't see the sense in tying up $45,000 in a depreciating asset when that money could be put to much better use. To each their own I suppose. We all love our cars and will do whatever we have to to own them. Its a beautiful thing how these cars bring us all together, isn't it Jared Royce |

I said it once but I don't think it resonated...it's about what you can save, not what you make. There's no way to justify a purchase like this. If you're a car guy and need to have it, you'll find a way to make it work. Just don't go too crazy or put yourself into a position where you're struggling to make the payments on a 7 year loan. If you can't put some money away each month on a 3 year loan, conventional wisdom says you probably shouldn't buy it or should look at something else. If you want to be conservative, you should have 6-9 months worth of total living expenses in liquid investments or cash and not need to finance. That's why I'm buying this instead of a Z51

This is my Christmas present. Definitely just for fun. I have four cars, my husband has four cars, and my son has one. Some women collect shoes or purses. I collect Horse Power.

You're not alone, my car will cost more than my salary as well. Computer technician for higher ed. I do run a computer repair business in my free time, so that does make this possible. I look at it this way, you only live once, you mine as well make the most of what you have.

There is no difference.
I'm paying for a Vehicle now. I'm just paying for a different one. It will actually cost less to drive the 1SS as it gets better mileage than my Truck.
