I just got the car and have only had two days worth of feedback from my coworkers to go on. Every comment has been positive and surprising, as in "That's yours? Are you serious?" "Wow that looks hot, you got that for real?" "How much did you pay, it looks expensive?" I responded to the last comment with 'How much did you pay for your Grand Cherokee?'. He said $42K, so I said 'Less than you...' We don't have too many Camaros here in North Jersey, to be honest, before I purchased my 1LE I've never seen another in the wild. So it's kind of a rare breed here.

Had a gen 5 RS owner tell me nice Camry yesterday was being a total jerk my 17 SS looks nothing like a freaking Camry. Then at a car show I had my 17 ZL1 there and a gen 5 SS owner told me it looks like a import tuner. Literally any bad remarks I’ve gotten came from gen 5 owners

which is odd because i have to look twice to tell 5th gen from 6th...and i own a 2015

Personally, nobody looks at my car on the road, some people have asked me what kind of Camaro it is, and that's about it. I bought it because I liked it and because it is one of the best performance bargains you can find.

Even my base 1LT Red V6 gets compliments because I keep it waxed, clean and parked far the heck away from people. Stands out.

That’s what I should have done. I’ve got a 17 SS and a ZL1 I’m 24 and I think it makes some people angry I can afford these vehicles, I work hard but people assume mommy and daddy got it for me. It’s stupid some of us millennials still believe in hard work!

Nothing crazy man, I’m a manager for a big warehouse company one of their warehouses a very popular food distributor. I lived with my grandparents for 6 years while working here making 90K a year, I simply saved my money for 6 years, now I have 2 amazing fast cars, a daily driver and a House I’ll have paid off in 15 years. I always tell people my age save their money if they’ve got the chance

im thinking there was some jealousy involved in the negative comments.wouldnt worry about what others think,when i bought my camaro i came into the showroom in shorts,tank top and wore out tennis shoes.they didnt think i was serious until i wrote the check out for the full price of the car.i dont buy a car very often,and i wouldnt buy it if i had to make payments.sounds like you are doing just fine...

From my perspective...
Everyone is your friend when you drive a Camaro!
Imports have snob appeal ..like I am smarter than you.
Chevy....even the Corvette has zero-snob appeal. The public knows we are approachable and nonjudgemental!
They all love us....except for of course the few snobs...
