Jeremy Clarkson suspended

No details on why he was suspended, just says he got in a "fracas" with a producer.

The BBC has today released the following statement regarding Jeremy Clarkson/Top Gear.
Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation. No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time.

Clarkson was given what he called his "final warning" last May after claims he used a racist word while filming the popular BBC motoring show.
At the time, he said the BBC had told him he would be sacked if he made "one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time".

The BBC gave no further details on the current incident involving Clarkson, and said it would not be making any further statements at this time.
Clarkson's representatives have yet to reply to requests for a comment.

The presenter himself has remained silent, however last month he tweeted a post saying a "new presenter for Top Gear" was wanted.
"Applicant should be old, badly dressed and pedantic but capable of getting to work on time," he said.

Was wondering what everyone thought of him.

I think he's pretty entertaining, but he does speak poorly of us yanks lol.

Do you like him? Why or why not?

Just read claims that he punched a producer.

They need Clarkson's bluster and overbearing personality, he makes the scenarios that bring out the best in the others, it makes great chemistry with Hammond and May. The show will lose the edge that makes it great if he's gone for good.

Without Clarkson's bombast the show will be the "Captain Hamster car-chat hour with tea and scones"

Just made a thread as well.

I won't be watching it without him. I don't even watch the American Top Gear. Just not the same.

I totally agree. At least Tanner Foust saved face a little bit when he lapped Captain Slow on yesterdays episode. He's okay, but Rutledge and Adam need to go.

And maybe do some actual car reviews. Why has neither tested the Z/28 yet?
