Automatic or Manual?
Hi guys, I ordered my 2SS a few weeks ago and I have always loved manual transmission. I also want the route start on my car which only works on the automatic. Is it worth sacrificing manual for remote start? Any other features better than the other on both? What do you all think and how do you like your manual or auto trans?

If you garage it I'd say m6, if it's parked outside in summer with leather, A8.

Driving a car like this with an AUTOMATIC is like having sex with a Condom on. Me I like feeling the enjoyment of DRIVING the CAR. I'm in control! Nothing turning off!!!! "ATM"...Isn't my thing<<<< Just my OPINION << I know this is going to get me BOOOOODDDDDD But it's my thoughts...

If you are a fan of the manual transmission I would figure that would outweigh the remote start feature of an auto. I would not let the remote start feature determine which transmission you choose.

I love a manual transmission in a car like this. I would probably still have my '13 Camaro SS if it would have been a manual. So I'm glad it wasn't since I now have the '16.
You need to go with the manual, I had remote start on the '13 Camaro. Having remote start is not worth not having a 6 speed. |

Manual is too fun in this car.. I wouldn't buy it for 10k off if it's an auto.. but if it's your daily, a lot of traffic, medical reasons, consistency for drag racing.. then get the auto.
Can't go wrong with either really.. |

I've been told that you can add remote start to the m6. It just won't function if it's in gear. I haven't had it done because I always leave it in gear, and I got a manual because I'm a do it yourselfer. My IROC has an automatic but I plan on doing a manual conversion when I finish collecting all the pieces. I could have gotten the a8 for 1300$ less, and never even test drove the a8 even though I love the way automatic transmissions work, and perform. You will love the active rev match function on the m6.

If you are a manual guy then stick with it. I drove manuals for years until I grew up. For me, I like my car to be faster, easier in traffic and oh yes remote start is nice too. But hey opinions are like AHoles everyones got one. You have to do what makes you happy. Unless you road course the car, I really don't see the point of a manual these days.

I like to use a condom and the A8 will spank the 6M every time. Look at the 1/4 mile times. Its your money and your left foot and right hand. Go drive an A8 and Manual before for you purchase one.

Just curious for your reasoning in this... I'm actually struggling with the same dilemma as the OP, but for me it's because my knees bother me from time and wonder if the m6 will bother me with having to shift on a stop and go commute. I plan to garage my car and it will share driving duties with two other vehicles. So, was curious to your thinking as to why go with an m6 if it's going to be garaged. Thank you in advance...
