I DD mine 120kms both ways 5 days a week. All highway driving on a toll road which never has heavy traffic (hwy 407 for those in the know). I can get 45mpg if I go 100kph or 30mpg if I go with traffic at 140kph+ avg. She sips 94 oct gas and fillups are ~$100 so I pick and choose when to let loose.

Unlike most on here I rarely use my Camaro for anything other than commuting (except for the odd track day) as my weekend/after work ride is an '18 Wrangler JL which is just a different kind of fun altogether!

ugh. I couldn't live with start/stop that I couldn't turn off. Why did the motor blow up?

yea it sucks you gotta put it in l6 manual mode to get rid of it and its a pretty common thing on those motors something to do with the pistons and timing...they rebuilt the whole thing under warranty only took about a week or so... gf got a 18 malibu lately and its got the same motor and dumb auto stop start shit also

So, the valves and the piston crowns collided, because a cam chain or belt went?

One time I got a loaner with stop/start when one of the vehicles was in for service. Except, I didn't know it had start/stop. From picking it up to when I got to work, the start/stop never activated. I guess I never had to really fully stop or something. End of the day, I leave work and try to run an errand a few miles down this big major 4-lane road with heavy traffic and tons of stop lights, shopping centers. The kid of road we all like to avoid. Sure enough, I get to the first red stoplight and stop and the engine dies! I am like WTF?!?!?! and start trying to start it. Eventually I figured it out. But, it reminded me of the days of driving old crappy POS cars when I was a kid, LOL.

its hard to explain cause even they couldnt do it but yea pretty much when the motor turns off and starts back up the piston hit a valve or didnt have enough fuel/air in the cylinder and blew up lol

got off freeway to go to work early car was running rough and then check engine light came on and had to tow it home blew cylinder 1 and almost 4 but they either replace or rebuild motor for free so at least they covered it
