tried 0-60

Did my first 0-60 the other night with launch control forgot to do the rev match. I'm not sure how accurate it is, to me it still feels like it's being held back a little. I'm getting ready to get a throttle body and put a tune in it too see how it feels.

like I said not sure how accurate it is in these cars, getting it to the track will tell I did it 3 other times and got 3.9 2 out of 3.

It's feels like it's being held back a little as you say since you are using launch control. LC cuts timing and such to control wheel spin. Practice without it, once you get the hang of it, you will be quicker...

That's very good for an M6.

Stupid question: where did you get the 0-60 counter? Is that only an option on the V8?

I think the timer is very accurate for the A8. However, for the manuals, the 1>2 shift spins the tires which causes the speedo to hit 60 before the car is actually going 60.

I imagine with sticky rubber 0-60 on a M6 could be at 4.0 or less.

SS 1LE it's more of when you are cruising like it lags when you floor it, I guess from what the local tuner said it's from the torque management system, I guess im use to the old carb cars that when you floor board it it feels like its ready to put u in your seat lol.
cleoent that's what I've heard that's why I did it a few times either way a 4.0 or 4.1 is a good 0-60

What you're describing sounds more like the inherent lag in the throttle?

Unless of course you are lugging the engine, or at a low rpm, and than floor it...a tune won't help that.

This doesn't sound right, i thought there was a thread that explained the mechanics of this (using GPS or the front wheel sensors or something). If it just read off the speedo then a burnout would yield some crazy 1.5 0-60 time, I'll see if I can find the thread and link it.

SS 1LE I'll see how it is after the new throttle body, thermostat, and they tune hopefully it wakes it up a little.
