I'm very interested in what the dealer will say. My car makes the exact same whistle noise....hope it's something that they can figure out.

I took it yesterday actually. I'm currently in a Malibu loaner :(

I took the advisor in the car and demonstrated how the noise appeared. Said it was not normal. My tech test drove it today and also agreed along with the transmission specialist. They said they were going to check fluid levels. I called my advisor around 2pm and he said they think it's possibly the torque converter but would let me know as they find out more.

I don't have a Camaro (yet) but yesterday I brought in my 2015 Ram for a major service. They also do a transmission fluid and filter change. On the way home from the shop I heard the same super chargerish sound as in your videos and was freaking out. This morning I went back and first thing they said was oil level which I couldn't believe as the procedure was done,as it should.
1.5 hours later with refilled transmission the noise noise was still there. Turned out it was a faulty new filter (restriction)

I realise it's not the same trans but it might be worthwhile checking it out..
Regards,
Nick

So I got a call today that they put a car stethascope to listen to the noise. Well they didn't know what it was exactly so they took out another new camaro to listen as well and they told me it was making the same noise. They told me they'd call GM to see if there was anything further they could do

I've been checking this post for updates every night. Keep us posted on what you hear from GM. Also on a side note what dealership did you go to? I just moved to the Miami area and might try my luck with another when it's time for an oil change

I have a manual SS and anytime I coast down from >40 mph in gear I get a very distinct whine until my speed is below 40. I'm guessing it's the driveline or tires based on the consistency. It never happens in cruise control or if my foot is touching throttle/brakes.

Has anyone else seen this?

My 5th Gen currently does that I know yours is a Gen6 but still same exact issue. I noticed it coming from the A/C vent. The dealership says its the blower motor when I give it gas in gear (M6) the Alternator gives it more power bla bla blah. So the A/C works harder forcing more air in. I don't believe them at all...

By the end of the visit, I said thank you and left. My 5th Gen is a convertible so wind noise does not bother me and I don't notice it anymore. But yeah sounds like the same issue.

I am interested in what they say!

Sounds like drivetrain whine.

If the problem is intake related, we do offer a sound tube delete CAI system. Which will decrease any intake noised heard in the cabin. This kit also gives the engine bay a great appearance!

Roto-fab CAI, dry filter, red logo, sound tube delete option.

Good luck eliminating your whistle noise! Please let me know if I can help.
Michael
