Silly insurance rate when age 25
So I am 21 paying $120 a month on insurance since I am still on my fathers policy. I just got a quote to see what it would be if I were on my own. Guesses????.......$860/month hahaha. Which is nearly twice what I am paying for the car lol. I may be stuck selling my SS in a few years :(. Oh I have one non-at-fault accident on my record. That's it lol.

22 and Married. Clean record.(for now, see ticket thread)
$98 for full-coverage and $250 deduct. I'm pretty sure you looked at a 6-month quote BTW. $143 sounds about right. |

That sounds right. I'm 20, living in NYC. I have no tickets on my record and I still pay $750 a month for my beamer.

I'd seriously suggest getting at least three quotes and then comparing. That seems SO inflated. My friend had 4-5 speeding tickets, and 2 at fault wrecks and still got insured for around 5. Now he wasn't driving an SS but still.

shop around my friend... I am 24, clean driving record, have full coverage on my Camaro (at 10x's the legal limit), and liability only on a 2000 ZR2 S-10 pickup, and I am paying $66 a month.

$860 a month is more than I pay a month for my payment on the SS and the insurance on my SS and Saturn Vue.
That's in NJ and one accident on my record.

I just got an online quote from Allstate just to get a general idea. Maybe I can do better with some more searching.
