Strut Tower Brace

I have read several threads about members adding a Strut Tower Brace to their cars. I just bought a 2017 2SS Convertible and it has a strut tower brace as well as a brace under it that goes to the firewall on each side. Like a triangle. Is this because it is a convertible or do all SS Camaros have them?

Nope. Only convertibles as far as I know. Mine has one too believe it's for rigidity.

The SSs have the short bars that go to the firewall.

Only convertibles have the strut-tower brace.

Yes, it fits all LS, LT, and SS trims.

It's standard only on the convertible due to the lost structural rigidity without the hardtop roof. Theoretically the hardtop doesn't need it but there's nothing wrong with adding it if you want.

Unless I'm mistaken on which part you're speaking of, the LT models also have the bars to the firewall; no strut brace, as previously stated.

It's been stated in other threads the V6 intake sits taller than the V8 intake, thus the brace will not clear it; however, I personally have not verified whether this is true.
