I think I remember reading somewhere that the shock firmness for non MRC cars equals to about half way between the Sport and Track settings for MRC.

So lets call it Sport Plus!

I testdrove a car with MRC and it was nice, but definitely something I can live without.
That;s because in central Cali the roads are smooth. Try our pot holed roads in the midwest and east coast. MRC is very worth it.....

My '14 SS did not have the option for MR. In '15 they offered it. I have zero regrets because the car rides and handles perfectly for what I use it for and how hard I drive it.

Wouldn't be at all disappointed if I had it though. It adds a bit of adjustment that would be nice and can go firmer in the case where you might like to drive in a "sporting fashion".

So really the only deal here is can you afford the $1700 or so and the potential for a higher cost shock replacement down the road.

If you are ok with both of the those absolutely get it. But if a base car does what you want, I don't think you'll regret it. Just don't ever drive one with it

Test drove both, but bought MRC more for the 1LE upgrade.

MRC is too soft to me, the non-MRC is a little stiffer feeling but the damping response isn't as good as the MRC.

I'd say its worth the $1700 upgrade, especially if you're like me and want to reflash the shocks and upgrade to the 1LE setup. Mag ride is clearly superior to traditional shocks, but in this deployment i do find it to be soft, even in track mode.

both are still superior to the shocks found on the Mustang GT

Comments coming from a former 911 owner for perspective.

There is also a non-MRC lowering kit incl different shocks. I've never seen one IRL though.
