%19 say they have had issues but still love it. Oh sure, you love the looks, but it has to be better than that.

Then add up all that say No, you are almost there.

This is really disappointing results on a poll that is mostly from people who bought new.

66% said they wouldn't change a thing and 14% say they would spend MORE money. That's 80% right there, how are you possibly getting 50% aren't happy?

I was wondering the same thing...

I'm happy with my SS, it is a beast, puts a smile on my face, gadgets are fun, no issues after 7,000 miles.

I bought mine in April after getting bait and switched on a 14 1LE. My 16 1SS was by far the cheapest I could find and the color I wanted but it was a bit of an impulse purchase. A horrible dealer experience where they got back most of that discount one way or another is my biggest regret. I've been on the fence on aftermarket parts and doing things to make the car my own but have decided to sell it this spring. If I decide to stay with a sports car it will be a 1LE being thats what I've wanted for years. I will never spend this kind of money again unless its exactly what I want, I'm more OCD than most. So the question for me still remains to be known if i'd do it again. Guess i'll see in a few months.
May I ask where you had your horrible dealer experience? I work in Springfield MO and test drove a 16 2SS in Aurora.

Creeping up on 2K

My last car was very fun... I got it new and drove the bazeejus out of it for 11 years. Did lots of car club stuff and in the end put in about 17K in mods into it. Quite a bit for a car with a base price of 18K.

I learned that I should probably buy what I want on the front end, to avoid 'mod fever' that I experienced with my last car. So when I got the Camaro itch (this is my third), I went for the 2SS. Had to wait for end of the year closeouts, and I waffled for quite a while on 2LT vs 1SS... But in the end, I was able to get a 2SS for about a 2LT price.

Having driven it for 2 months and almost 2k miles now... There is no 'mod fever'. I don't want to change the exhaust, it sounds awesome. CAI's apparently do not have much benefit for a stock setup. I love the louvers in the hood. The grill and facia are awesome. Maybe a splitter during tax return season... maybe. Suspension rocks, won't change a thing unless they come up with springs that drop the car and do not impact the magnetic ride control... But probably not, because it's fine as is.

Tint, simple stripes, and change the wheels to black. That's all it needs, and the wheels were done this weekend. I am completely enamored with my 2SS and don't plan on any big mods.

- center console awkward/too small

- no storage areas for phone, etc
Although I acknowledge that the windshield fogging issue is a flaw that GM should have caught and fixed in testing, I'm simply amazed at the extent to which folks let it bother them without trying to fix it themselves. I rolled up a dark hand towel that is wide enough to span across both vent areas, tucked it up against the windshield to redirect the air a bit away from the base of the glass and my window fogging issue is history! Simple and works 100% of the time!

I used rubber baseboard that almost perfectly matches the dashboard, cut it to fit the shape of the front vent, and it tucks in to the space between the window and dashboard to keep cold air off it. Has worked great so far.

I if could I would have waited for the ZL1 or the new Generation Corvette. Its a very nice car but has some downsides as well.

I would have to say no. My 2SS has spent almost as much time at the dealership for repairs as it has on the road. I didn't have a single problem with my 2010 2SS/RS. I did expect a few issues with the 6th Gen but not to this extent and GM's customer service is lacking as well.
