Scratch help

I have one decent size scratch that went through the paint. I have smaller ones that I think I can buff out but need help with the 1 deeper one. I don't think I have to paint the whole door right? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's through the clear you can touch up, but it will still be visible, so you may want to repaint the door.

If it's not through the clear you can wetsand and polish.

Polish it as best you can with Menzerna FG400.

If that is not satisfactory use this.

Dr. Colorchip is not designed for deep scratches, it is designed for small chips and "road rash". It works great on darker colors.
To remove a deep scratch you have to use an abrasive product. Since you own a DA, I'm sure you have cutting pads and compound. Go over them first after properly prepping the area of the scratches. I would think based on the pic, you would lessen it some, but it would still be there. To further remove it wetsand and polish. Again, if it's through the clear this won't remove it. Your options are touch up and live with it, or repaint.

If you haven't wetsanded before this is a good demonstration of it for a deeper scratch. The only thing I do different is use a sanding block with 2000 grit.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to try this touch up product and let you know how it worked. I ordered a set from paintscratch.com.

Based on my use of Dr Colorchip, I would recommend you wait at least 20 minutes before using the sealact to remove excess paint. Do not use any pressure as you will pull the paint from the scratch. What you'll end up with is paint in the scratch, not leveling it, but diminishing it's appearance.

Do not use the buffing towel that comes with the kit. Use a quality microfiber to buff.
