Unless someone at the dealership screws up or I'm not understanding what GM has mandated, they should hand you the updated separated ignition keys and fobs.

My thoughts exactly, I get stressed when those bone heads touch my car.

If it comes with new remotes, I'll gladly ditch that former one that pops my trunk every time I
put the dang thing in my pocket.

Relax, just be aware of it and try to keep your legs under control.

If it does happen to you don't panic, just put the car in neutral and restart it. You should be able to get the recall work done before too long.

not sure how you fit in the car in the first place. If you never knew about it, you never would ever have touched the key, but now you are focusing on it and doing it on purpose. At your height you would suffer the same risk in anycar with a big key, Mazda, Audi etc.

In your case I would actually go to the dealer and get my keys swapped. done and done

If your knee can turn off the key, couldn't it also get stuck/wedged under the steering column? Then what are we supposed to do?

Man, these cars just are too problematic to comprehend.

I actually like it, now I can get a aftermarket alarm and not have to carry two FOB's with me. Up till now that is the only thing that has kept me from getting one.

Also maybe this will stop me from accidentally opening my trunk, which happen way to much.

I tried this knee thing yesterday, and I sit way far back so when I lift my knee I hit the steering wheel. No matter how hard I tried to get my knee up to the key, well it's just NOT Possible. If I sat way up close maybe I could, but can't do it the way I normally sit/drive. I would love a "Push Button" start instead.

I've had my 2010 2SS since August 2009 and can't say I've ever had this issue with it. I would much prefer the push button starter rather than having another key ( to go with the 15 others ) jingling in my pocket!
I'm assuming we all get 2 keys, however, I had 2 more key fobs created for my Camaro, so would they comp me 4 keys?
