Remove the cover above the radiator

Any tip on how to remove the cover over the radiator? I removed all the screws that looks to be holding it in place, but I am not able to pull it out.

You may to remove the front fascia to get it all the way off. I recently swapped my front bowtie, and it seems that the hood latch handle on the 6th Gen is too big to maneuver around (as compared the 5th Gen plate). What are you trying to do?

Wanted to clean up the wiring I have there for the front camera and remove the front bow tie to paint it while at it.

Need to remove the whole facia to remove that panel? Wow.....

I'm mean... somebody else might have found a way to do it without removing the fascia, but for the life of me I couldn't. I just had to contort my hand around the plate to get in there. Considering what you're trying to do though, I'd definitely find a way to get that plate off. You don't want to risk breaking a tab off your bowtie since you'll be putting it back on.

I don't mind it breaking off since I can just use double sided take to keep it in place. But I will need to remove it for the wiring. Right now, I have the wire going up in the front of the radiator and I want to have it go around the inside of the front vent. I don't think I can complete it without removing the plate, but at the same time, I wish I don't have to remove the whole fascia.. gotta find a way.

I am very interested as well ...was looking to paint mine... I was looking at those after market versions that are already painted and to me it looked pretty straight forward after taking the torx screws that keep the plastic piece on top in place and where the screws are on it . If anyone figures it out please sound off

I got a painted radiator shroud from RPI. Haven't tried to replace the original yet. I also thought it would be an easy replacement. If anyone from RPI is on maybe you can tell us how to do the replacement/remove the OEM cover.

I had the same problem when changing my bow-tie. I ended up being able to do it by bending the hood latch handle, but it still took some serious effort to maneuver it. Bent it back again after.

You can cheat the hood latch off with a ratcheting wrench.

That cover is not a cover, rather the front fascia support, hence why the fascia screws to it. Gotta remove the front fascia (fascia = bumper) to remove that support plate.

To do all that, gotta pull the front fender liners, that upper black strip across the top of the bumper cover, the trans cooler inlet duct/splash shield underneath, then you can get all the bolts that hold the fascia, and the retainers as well.

Or you could just undo the hood latch with a ratcheting wrench and slip it off over the top like most techs do in order to install black bowties...
