Prioritytire.com has Armstrong tires for the rear at $108.00 each shipped free…they’re a 65000 mile tire. I just use my car as a toy and enjoy smoking the tires occasionally. Works for me

Good thread. I just purchased a 2010 SS with LESS THAN 8K miles on it! Drove this beauty home on a 4hr trip yesterday, and I think the original P Zero's may be slightly flatspotted given this ultra low mileage car probably sat for extended periods over it's 14 year lifespan. No vibration at all, just a little barely perceptible "trampling" which I suspect a flat spotted tire would do. So technically a 14 year old tire is expired, and the recommendation is change any tire every 10 years, regardless of condition. A shame since they look like they were just mounted. Any input - am I OK or bite the bullit and change them?

P zeros do flat spot, my 4600 mile SS has the original tires from May of 09 on it still and if it sits any more than 3-4 weeks it will shake a bit for the first 10-15 miles I drive it. Mine are still in excellent condition, the rubber is still soft and pliable. I see no reason to replace them but this car has been in climate controlled storage since day 1.

You didn’t get rid of your bandit or other SS did you? I love what you’ve done with both of those cars.

No Aqua - still have both the 1977 Bandit and the other 2010 SS - "The 680 RWHP Beast".

This recent asquisition is my new project car. I am going to do a Trans Am conversion, Bandit Edition. Will prob create a Build thread and post once I begin. Now that I have a big barn to work in, it will be fun wrenching and painting.

Some may not care for the conversions, but I have always liked them and wanted to do one as a Big Brother to the Bandit. So off we go...

That's gonna look cool!! If it is done right, turns out really nice. There are a couple around here I have seen, and they look cool!
