Imagine being the guy who paid mid 30's for a loaded 2010 Mustang GT only to have the far superior 5.0 Mustang debut in 2011 for the same price.. it happens all the time unfortunately.

Unless the new one is absolutely stunning.... I will graduate and trade my 2010 Camaro in for something else. Too many people in the tri-state go out of their way to ding/scratch the car and it just wasn't as exclusive as it should have been. To the average person, LS/LT/SS/ZL/Z28 all look the same. Obviously to a trained owner, not the case.
I think for me personally, I want a little bit more luxury in the interior so I'm leaning towards whatever offering Caddy will have. If I don't find something suitable in their stable then its open season on my car hunt. If only the Viper wasn't so expensive. Yes I know this is blasphemy on a GM board but for looks I'd take the Viper over the Vette. For common sense everyday I'd go with the C6/C7 Vette. That would be the proper graduation from my SS. |

^ the bullet proof sea of plastic doesn't do it for you?? im hoping the camaro doesn't gain weight like the stang.. if it does gain, something has gotta improve. I test drove a zl1 and the ride was a huge upgrade..

Kinda both. A fairly good source said they're out and this is about the right time for them.

We know the car IS coming for MY 2016. So I guess at latest we could see the car in the fall of 2015, but if its like the 5th gen, we could see it much earlier in 2015. Usually car companies have cars out testing by now...actually much earlier. Heck, maybe one of the ATS-V models which was spied was actually a Camaro mule? They've been spotted with dual and quad exhaust, V8 and TTV6 exhaust sounds. Maybe the V8 sound was testing for what the LT1 in the ATS performs like? OK...really I'm just pulling all of this out of my you know where.

Theoretically, they could also use CTS-bodied mules.
I sincerely hope that the new Camaro's proportions are more in line with those of the ATS, but just sayin' that mule potential of the other extant Alpha vehicle can't be totally ignored. |
