What else did you look at before buying the Camaro?

I am looking at the RC350. Used 2015-16 about the same price as new SS.
Like the looks, no doubt better quality, value..etc
Looked at the new Miata too, but passed.

What else did you consider?

Nothing really! I downsized from a High Country to a Colorado to justify to myself to buy the Camaro. No regrets!

Nothing but I did test drive one 3 months apart to make sure I could live with it.

I was originally looking for a Mustang. Ford dealer treated me like crap. Quoted me $7k over the internet "no haggle" price and then wanted to give me $8k under market value for my trade-in. I was so mad that the next day I went to the closest Chevy dealer. Rest is history.

Looked at a few BMW's in Portland , but since we have no BMW dealers in MT I passed.

Thought of an Audi A3 and a VW GTI for a time, but I was bitten very badly by the new Camaro.

A year later ,after half heartedly watching the new Gen 6's for issues, I drove one. THAT was all it took.

NO regrets so far.

2016 Ford Mustang GT Premium... Silver on black, Performance pack, navigation, 401A equipment group.

Actually almost bought it, Literally... I test drove a similar one, placed my $15K down payment and signed a contract. The dealership was supposed to pick it up the next morning from a different dealership (I was at All Star Ford in Pittsburg and it was at Hilltop Ford in Richmond).

But I went there on a recommendation, Literally for months my friends (married couple) were talking me in to a Mustang because the smaller husband drives a 2015 GT while the other bigger husband drives a giant F250 Platinum... They even had 1 specific sales man they always went to, When they bought a used Mini Pooper, a new Ford Edge Sport, New F250 Lariat, their current 2 cars... Brought in one of our friends and he bought a new F150 and the littler one's mother bought a Focus Titanium from him... So I went to "their" guy Jimmy... Who then proceeded to try and add $5600 in mark up on the Mustang (listed at hilltop ford for $42K, They were trying to sell it to to me at $47,700 BEFORE taxes and fees)... When we figured out what the hell was going on, big boy and sales man had a bit of an argument and I just wanted to leave... So, ended up getting that taken back down to MSRP... Again on a 2016, this was November.

I signed the contract saying NO to everything he tried to slip in but said that an extended warranty won't cost anything so I said if it's free... tired having been there for 6 hours already and having been previously turned down from buying a 2017 2SS A8 with every option ($53K they couldn't get it down to where I wanted), But since they took so long... They asked to pick up the Mustang the next day to which I agreed to as they had to go pick up the car themselves.

I looked over the contract at home, and that warranty was $3500... So, I put a stop on my check. I waited for "Jimmy" to call and tell me he got the car washed and gassed up ready for me to come and pick it up... To where I told him, No. I'm not going to take the car... He understandably got mad, and handed the phone to his manager and he got mad and threatened legal action for "illegally writing a check i'd later put a stop to", to where I reminded him that I already have a lawyer from suing carmax *and winning* if he wants to play that way... An hour later a bigger boss calls and begs for me to come and take the car, saying he'll bring the cars price down to $39K... It's not bad but they lost my business.

Happily paid $49K (after everything) on my 2SS because the sales people were nice and not shady.

Went in to trade my '08 Z06 on a '16 Z06 but I could not fit in it as my knees hit the dash. Bought the '16 Camaro SS instead. My wife has a '14 Vette 7 speed that you would pay to see me get in and out of.

Nothing! I went from a Gen 5 Camaro to the Gen 6. I knew exactly what I wanted.
