LV= No requirement for a tracker as the Camaro alarm is Thatcham approved. I have full European cover. Unlimited mileage. UK call centres. Didn't mention the safety camera I have s installed, but wasn't asked.

Morethan, they were one of the few I could find that would replicate my NCB on to a 2nd vehicle, they only require a tracker on cars over 75k

The car does technically have a tracker from the factory.

Hi Guys,

Another impatient one here !
Mine arrives March 1st.
Arctic Blue Metallic, black rims, ceramic interior.

Craig is a top bloke, made the whole thing easy.

Going to have the roof painted black, add a front splitter, lowering springs, black emblems and black bow ties by the time i collect, have a few other mod's planned for later.
There appears to be a few of us new owners on the South Coast ? we've got to arrange a meet surely ?

One question i do need to ask if anyone knows off hand, can i use the Eibach 1.1 drop springs on a car with MRC ?
Excellent site and one i find myself on more and more and more !! funny that !

Lee

Being new to modern Camaro ownership (I had one many years ago) and even though I've read the handbook, there are still things about the car I am discovering.

Today I noticed that when indicating to turn, the DRLs under the headlight on that side go out. I know some cars have that feature but I didn't know the Camaro had it. Also, the mirrors collapse - I'm not sure if they do on US cars?

Anyone know of a thread here entitled "things you didn't know about your Camaro" or similar?

There is a thread there somewhere things I didn't know... Do you mean the mirrors tilt rather than collapse or fold ?

Having had a late 5th gen and read the manual and forums to death prior to 'shortly' picking up my new one, I'm hoping there's not much I haven't found out yet! Still , always nice to get a surprise

They collapse inwards to make the overall width narrower. Takes guts to push them past the initial resistance, but a necessity to get the car into my garage.

Hi all, just got in having picked up my red tintcoat 2017 from Craig today, it's rare to find good people with good service these days, thanks Craig.

Have to say it is so much better than the 5th gen, the ride is comparable to Àudi A6 in tour mode, very happy with this car.

And my daughter is still playing with the disco lights 😁

Nice one. Glad you got it at last. Totally agree with your comments about Craig and in fact the whole team at Ian Allan Motors

What did you do about the front number plate?

Put it on with zip ties, drove up the road and cut it off and put it in the boot, where it's gonna stay lol

Thank you for the kind comments, I will ensure the team see them too.
Sometimes I think the line of 'treat people how you wish be treated yourself' is lost on some businesses.
Hope your all enjoying the cars!!

Aaaargh, one month old and the first stone chip, right smack in the middle of the bonnet. How annoying is that? Was going to put protective film on the front but hadn't got around to it yet and actually this chip is higher up than the film would have gone anyway, just below where the matt grey stripe ends. Grrrrr.

Also rather annoyed to discover that Chevrolet UK don't sell touch up paint for our cars so I've had to order some from the US via Ebay. Not very impressed by that at all.

It's always like that. Either a rock in the windshield or a paint chip.
Have you checked Dr. Colorchip ? If they have the color you can order it from the UK

Pete1LE in the Camaro5 forum imports/sells various 5th gen stuff including oil etc, maybe worth looking him up in future for stuff that he may already have in the UK that may be of use.
