Have you had any issues with your new Camaro?
Hey guys,
Thought I'd get a poll from all of you who have and have not had issues with your new Camaro. I see posts from those who have had significant issues, but I'm also curious as to what those who have NOT posted, but have had issues may have dealt with. I figure that if enough people respond, we can see if the issues reported are small or significant portion of the cars out there. Thanks in advance for your participation! |

Did you have to take it to the dealer to get it corrected, or did you deal with it in another manner (professional detailer, etc.)? You have the Mosaic Black. I think there have been some issues with that specific color IIRC.

Only problem I've had is the car pulls to the left, just got to go get an alignment as far as I'm concerned.

NPP exhaust rattles. GM is supposedly working on a fix.
Also I get some rattling when the radio volume is turned up from the doors and rear deck. And there is a rattle somewhere in the dash around the center console.

Stats are interesting so far... 38% of the people polled (24 so far) had zero issues with their Camaro. The remaining 62% had issues of some sort, the major of which (38%), related to "engine / electrical / other" that were significant enough to have to take the car in to the dealership.
I'll be very curious to see how this turns out when everyone has finished chiming in. JD Power and Associates is only showing an initial quality index of 3, based on a sample of owners during their first 90 days of ownership. GM has their work cut out for them. http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/cam...7/reliability/ Last edited by Factorypilot; 02-20-2016 at 08:39 PM. |

No issues. The car is running perfectly (knocking on wood 3 times).

I am at 600 miles with no issues so far. I know I drew the long straw so far. I own 2 5th gens so I have paid my dues.

This will be my first GM car ever... and I'm very concerned about pulling the trigger. I don't want to be, but I am. It really sucks, because I love the car (my original choice was the Scat Pack, but after driving the Camaro ...) I'm just really disappointed that still after all these years GM can't get seem to get their sh-t together. Yeah there are those who have had GM cars that have gone 100K+ miles with zero issues, but that seems like it's in the extreme minority of owners. In the Toyota community, that's a pretty common thing. I had a 1986 Pre-runner that had 160K miles on it that ran like clock work and didn't burn oil at all. I don't expect the Camaro to be like that, but do I really have to wait another year or two for them to get their stuff together so I don't feel like I'm rolling the dice buying this thing? Man... My thought is if people are fixing it themselves, it's probably extremely minor. More ocd related I'd bet.
GM has a better track record than a LOT of manufactures, imports included. There are always kinks in a all new car. |

Agree with you there. Concerning GM cars don't their trucks have a pretty good track record? If so, have they experienced the same kind of teething problems on a new MY?
