Was at the dealer getting an oil change

No I did not trade in my car but I was looking at the new camaros. Some of them had the windows tinted and they wanted an extra $400 because of it! And an extra $200 for "3mm protection". That's insane!

it's not a big deal for people that have the money. I think something like 80% of car buyers pay MSRP too. besides, it's all a matter of perspective. the majority of people would find MOD's (replacing good working parts on your car with much more expensive ones) to be a massive waste of money too. for example, 95 out of 100 people would find spending 1000k or more on new wheels just so they look different a huge waste of money.

The price for window tinting can probley be bargained down. I also like the idea of having the dealer tint your windows. If you are stopped by the police you can show the windows are legal GM equipment.

The dealer will not put on tint that is illegal for that state. If the tint is illegal in another state. You are responsible because it a add on. It was not on when it was manufactured.

Yep - all those dealer add ons are ridiculously expensive. I was looking at CRVs with my wife and the car from the factory had an msrp of 28,000 and some change- the dealer had added on a bunch of extras to get the final sticker price up to almost 30,000. They wanted almost a grand for a "protection package"

I think a million dollars on wheels is a bit excessive too but that's just me

Eh, depends on the job, warranty of the tint, timing, etc... I paid $200 to a reputable tinting shop here in FL to tint my Pontiac G6 coupe. Still looking for a decent price for the Camaro. Everyone wants close to $300+, not paying that for 3.5 windows lol.
