My 2011 only has 1,356 on it. It'll be 6 years old on October 4.

Why does it bother people so much? Why must they respond to low mile cars and their owners in such a snide manner? It really isn't anybody's business how a person uses (or doesn't use) their car except for the owner.

I love low mileage cars. I prefer my cars to all be bought with low mileage. My issue is they always seem to have much higher mileage on them when I finally sell...

My 2015 1LE currently sits at 1900 miles. Its not something I can use for work, so the miles just don't rack up.

I bought my 2011 SS last October with 3200 miles on it. That owner hardly drove it. I now have 6100 miles on her. I live in the Northeast, so when the snow flies, my baby is tucked away in the garage. Not a daily driver. I have two other vehicles for that. This Camaro convertible is for FUN. I'm not opposed to driving it, and I'm not keeping the miles low because I think it will be worth more. But I also don't drive it to work, and its a manual so my wife isn't driving it as well.

Low mileage cars are great for the next person that buys it.
The mileage has minimal impact on book value, which is what the car is worth. |

Ultra low mile T/A CEs command a LOT more money than a regularly used one. A HELL of a lot more money. It all depends on the car. Further, in some people's cases, there may never be another owner.

Also, if you were out there to look at some cars for sale, would you not pay a little more for a LOW miles car thats been pampered?? I know i would, and i generally DO! Its called getting more for your money. (To a degree) So yes, to some people it wont make any difference (cant really understand that as its a direct relation of durability and since cars have an "life" it is directly related to their "usage") but hey, not everyone cares the same. Im talking a 20 vs an 50k miles car kinda gap too, not just 12 vs 16 as an example. My 2 cents..... H.

I personally say each to there own but think about miles driven verse cost. You buy a new $35,000 Camaro and keep it for 3 years it will be worth only about $25,000 even with low miles. If in that 3 years you drove a total of 5,000 miles then each mile will have cost you $2.00 not including maintenance and insurance. You are better off renting a Camaro for occasional weekend use then to own one at that rate. Again each to there own...
