Cool thanks, wasn't aware of them rolling to a 2 after 100,000. Do you know why they did that? I mean what purpose did that serve?

Besides the fact that the vins started at 100001 instead of 000001, I have no idea.

If I recall correctly, anything built after November 2010 is no longer sequential. Mine was built in October 2010 last 6 are 128807 hence my car is 28,807 off the line for 2011 run. After that the Regal and now the Impala and LaCrosse are built in Oshawa too so it's a total jumble. Now as far as ZL1, Z/28, and COPO they have their own unique VIN sequence.

The "E" in your vin designates it as a 2014. Vin numbers will begin each model year at 00001.

Posting up the last 5 digits doesn't tell much. It only shows the sequence number in that production run. My 2010 SS:
2G1FT1EW9A9125261
A= 2010
9=Oshawa Plant
1= production run
25261=sequence #
There are 99,999 cars in production run 1, and 100,000 in each run after.
