Unless it is an all-in-one cleaner wax, no.

You need to machine polish that out, that's the only way you're going to clear it up totally.

Both Texas and FL (Where I live) have extremely hard water, becasue of this claying will only slightly help but you'll need to machine correct to fully clear it.

Also like someone above said, the longer it sits the worse it will like etch. You need to get to working on that ASAP.

How do I know if they have become etchings?

I think a vinegar and water solution and clay baring should work just fine.

It's more important to learn how to avoid water spots.

Never wash your car in direct sunlight. I wash mine in the evening in the shade. This way I have time to dry the vehicle before there is spotting.

Make sure you are using a good sealant. That will help.

Since you have hard water you can add a filter at your faucet that will help. You can also use ditilled water and do a rinseless wash. This way you will be washing and drying a panel at a time, so you shouldn't get spotting.

Good luck.

I know that you aren't supposed to let the car dry, so I did keep getting it wet.. and a rinseless wash is kind of out of the question. I live in the country and on a dirt road, so a full wash every 3-5 weeks is all I get, if even that. I have school and stuff, so I don't get a lot of time to clean my car before it is dark.

Tell me more about this sealant? AND if I use vinegar and water, I will have to rewax it, right? Doesn't that strip all of the protection off my car (if I have any, anyways?)

A little vinegar and water + a little elbow grease and most of the spots on the fenders and wheels and bumpers came off. Didn't attempt the hood or roof of car, only because after sitting overnight they are covered in dust and dirt, but I assume it will help a lot! Not all of the spots came off though... Sure after a wax it will look a whole lot better. Thanks so much guys!!
